A progressive candidate for Fort Rouge – East Fort Garry
Why I Am Running
I’m a graduate of University of Winnipeg, have been long time renter within the ward, and have worked in the hospitality, film, & music industries for nearly two decades. During that time, I’ve acted as a union shop steward for 8+ years, as well as used my artistic platforms to advocate for & participate in progressive social causes. My time within these scenes has shown me the human cost derived from budget cuts to our social safety nets & the wide gaps left in their wake, resulting in our communities becoming increasingly disillusioned with our municipal government.
My reason for running for council is simple: I want to give a voice to those that are often forgotten about, and bring a fresh set of perspectives to municipal politics that breaks the status quo to inspire, strengthen, & foster what makes our city a beautiful place: our workers, our artists, & our diversity.
